dell, for my 8n i was thinking of getting a drawbar setup for pulling a trailer. i have the drawbar wor the ball, but here is my question:

are all of the setups the same quality? are some china mans and are they rigid enough? i would rather buy american if i can. any help?

award..... ...dunno iff'n you have the "option" of US made or ferrin maid.

I have 2-under the diffy swinging drawbars, one came with the tractor in 1990 and is double-bent, 1-natural, 'tuther' from overload. I like my "new" (India?) swinging drawbar better and I ain't bent 'nuttin' yet. I tow 7000lb ball/socket hitched trailers around the property.

Even though the 11-hole drawbar has a "neat" advantage of hydraulic lift for picking-up trailer hitches, I don't like it 'cuz it ROTATES without a "lock" and lifts without staybars.

There is a square tube based 3-point hitch which doesn't rotate and is hydraulically liftable, but I'm happy with my under the diffy mount swinging drawbar. I did drill out the 3/4" hole for 2-5/16" ball stem. (1" dia)..... ...Dell

I'm not Dell, but I'd say nothing wrong w/ looking for an original.....& yes, the old ones are likely made tougher than the new repops. Not sure if you'd ever notice the difference unless you really move heavy stuff.

Have you thought about a swinging drawbar setup instead? It would be a safer way to move your trailers.
