You should have installed a sneeze guard during the restoration, like the ones at the salad bar.

I think you need to sell the tractor, 'cause it will never be the same now. Sell it and buy a different one and put one of those anti-bogger steering wheels on it!

The diagnosis & resolution depends on a few things:

Front or side mount distributor?

6 or 12 volt?

9N, 2N or 8N?

Rob,

I'm glad to see you got over your mad from yesterday! Maybe you can get more help in the future!

As for your bugger, I would just part out the tractor and get another one. I wouldn't drive a tractor that had a bugger on it.

Danny

Sorry RoB B! I think I'll quit posting today! I can't get anything right! I got my D and B mixed up. It was RoD B that had his feeling hurt on Wednesday (wrong day too).

Sorry,
Danny

use your pocket knife, if you got it on the steering wheel, you aint tryin hard enough, thats why that radiator cap is out there, when city folks drive by gawkin at ya you rare back close one eye hold one side or yer nose and take careful aim.. if your good you'll ge rewarded by a nice plop, sizzle steam kind of a thing followed by various eeewwwwsss, and other interesting noises from the car of city folks,

In the tool box of my 9N there is always a partially used roll of SCOTT (tm) toilet paper. Usually, when in the field, NATURE seems to call.

I was trained to use only 1 ea. sheet of paper fer wip'N. Simply fold the sheel in half. After wip'N, put the sheet on the steering wheel and use the naturals to lubricate the surface, and, YOU will see the bugger disappear.

If'n you tear the single sheet, use a small corner to clean your FINGERNAIL. Usually the finger that used on the rear PORTAL. ;)
