oh well, here goes,
I have a mustang pedal car, the side is bent in, i need to get it to come back out, straight with the body, i can move it to "straight" position, but it doesn't stay, goes back to "bent" position, any suggestions? also, i am looking for a sand/bead blasting cabinet that will fit a pedal tractor, anyone got one for sale, or know where to find one kinda cheap? nothing like that listed in classifieds or i would've used them, thanks,
Tony

When you have the dent pushed back, have the car on its side so the light hits it, watch the edges of the dent, several inches away from the center?, tap lightly with a soft hammer, at those edges, from the same side as the dent was on, while you are holding it back, it should stay pushed back. Trial and error. John in Ne.

Generally, the problem you describe with the pedal car is caused by the sheet metal having stretched when it was dented. If so, you need to shrink the metal. One way to do this is to heat the area and tap lightly around the outer edges of the damaged area. There are also specialized tools that you can try. (I've only had to shrink dented metal once so I can say what the best method is.)

Make that "...can't say..."

(Someday I'll learn to reread the whole thing before I click "post message".)

As Big Fred said, you can make your own sandblast cabinet out of plywood, chipboard and make it to fit your pedal tractor.
I will include the link to TiP Tools where you can get all the additional supplies for the cabinet. They make the ScatBlast cabinets
Good Luck
Tom

Lumber yard. Easy enough to make your own sandblasting cabinet, and you could make it whatever size you want. Not really sure where you would get the glove thingies, but I would think they would be available as replacement items from an industrial supply house.
