Plastic repair KISS

Hey folks,
Is there an idiot proof (IR1 sometimes) way of repairing the plastic fenders on my ATV that I can make look halfway decent (not necessarily pretty). I'm dealing with a couple of cracks, but one fender has a chunk gone out of it. Temps here are right at freezing (+/- a degree or two).

Thanks, Dave

It will depend on the type of plastic used in your fenders but there's 2-part epoxy type filler that's used to repair plastic car bumpers. It's sandable, remains flexable and is stronger than the bumper. Filling in missing pieces/areas will take some forming tallents but it's doable. Use pieces of clear plastic from packaging (the stuff that you can never get open) to use as forms and to help reduce the amount of sanding. After the epoxy "hardens", the clear plastic can be peeled away leaving a very smooth surface.

For cracks, drill a stop hole at the end of the crack. V-grove the crack then fill with the epoxy.
