What color do I paint Case Parts?

I am in the process of painting a 1949 Case SC narrow front tractor and I hit a bump in the road on what colors I paint certain parts. I am trying to restore it properly so I was wondering if anyone knows what the true colors are for the the generator, starter, fan blade, air cleaner, carb., exhaust manifold, and anything else i missed?

Another thing is I don't know what type of clear coat to use. I have heard that you shouldn't use certain clear coats with certain paints. I use an tisco paint enanel. Can anyone help me?

If you search the case board you will find that there is a lot of opinions on colors. Some say it came a certain way from the factory (since their family bought it new) and others will say it came a different way.

In terms of clear coat, if you used the alkyld enamel you shouldn't be clearing it. The problem with alkylds (and most enamels) that it takes months for them to completely dry. Thus if you put a clear coat on it, it will simply peel up.
