I'm restoring (my first time) a 530 john deere.I want to sandblast the entire tractor and prime. The problem is, there will be a few week time span between priming and painting.I've been told that if I wait more than 72Hrs. it must be wet sanded.I don't see how the tight places on the frame can be wet sanded. How can I handle this? Will be useing all john deere paint and primer.[/b]

I have run into that situation many a time in our work. I know this may not be what the paint reps agree with but if it has to sit longer than 2-3 days we scuff up what we can and shoot it again with and epoxy primer when you are ready to paint. We have never had issues with the final results doing it this way.
