Paint on Serial Tag

Hey all,

I have a tractor that was painted recently by the previous owner before me and he did a really good job with the IH 2150 Iron Gard. The one minor thing that he did was instead of masking and taping around the serial tag on the body he just painted right over it. I know it is minor but for some reason it really bothers me. I really want to try to remove the paint on the tag and was wondering if anyone has ever come across this and if anyone has ideas on trying to remove the paint?

A rag and lacquer thinner should wipe it clean. Don't rub to hard and long as you will take off the ID label paint at some point.

Good job that is how I would do it. Or brake clean on a rag will so it also. Just be careful and dont get the tag soaked or it will all come off.
