I THINK YOU WOULD BE VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE H GOVENOR, I've tried tha once, almost missed a pull, changing govenors in the middle of the night. (h) govenor, you ought to be able to run 3000rpm's. buy the m@w govenor, put a little shorter spring in it,(if you have to) it will turn 2200.
just my 2-cents
also, how much slop in the weight's, are they rocking on the pins. (rite to left)

Bud, why didn't it work? Ive done that many times and had good results. Yeah, you can up the rpm limits using the H governor, but, you have to reset the upward liknage to make it work,, you can't just bolt it together,, you have to readjust the verical linkage. Not just swap them out. it is trying, but once you sit down and set it right, it will work as good as the M governor. Stay away from the M&W if you can,,, unless you intend on running no more than 2000 rpm, it is hard to get the rpms up on a stock M&W governor. Springs help, but,,, you have twice the amount of weight closing the governor down,, VS a 2 weight governor. ChadS
