We are in the process of restoring a farmal md and can not get the radiator off. There must be a bolt or two that we have missed on the bottom. Also does the drain pipe have to be removed to get it out? Any information would be apreciated.

I know where there is an MD that has been sitting for longer than I want to admit to (it's on my Dad's farm) because it had to be pull started. The "gasoline" part of the engine was messed up and is part of the reason we were able to acquire it. When/if the engine is free'd up, how hard is the injector pump to get rebuilt? I know from what I have been told that the head would have to be reworked due to the valves being bad from trying to start it on diesel. The engine didn't have a lot of hours on it. It didn't use any oil or smoke when it was run. It has a Schwartz wide front end on it also. We were in need of rear tires and a cousin in Oklahoma sold it to us for what he had spent on one of the new tires that he had put on it. Do you think that it would be worth trying to restore to operating condition? It's not mine, but I am sure that it could be for little or nothing.
Jim

There are 2 studs up under it you have to take the nuts off of( they can be a real pain) It should come out w/o takeing the drain pipe off
