Had trouble with tractor accelerating with the variator in the forward position. If I pulled BACK on the clutch/brake pedal the variator would drop back and the tractor sped up,but the C/B pedal is way higher than the 7 to 8 inch maximum distance allowed to the footrest. Then when the pedal is pressed to slow down, the variator drops back down into slow speed. Checked into adjusting the clutch override, and noticed the eyehook that threads into the clutch override spring/shaft deal was bent. I replaced eyehook and secondary drive belt. Tractor accelerates and slows down w/ foot pedal, but pedal still raises very high in the fastest variator setting.Almost straight up and down. Also have some excessive vibration (i.e. steering wheel} that seems to decrease when I hold pedal down at 7 to 8 inch dist. off the footrest. This is giving me some problems and any input would be appreciated

This is one you might do better on at the JD garden tractor place. They used to be a good place. That varactor is a touchey thing to get adjusted just right. Right belt, right spaceing etc. Problem with mine was wear on shafts so that the pieces did not slide like they were supposed to. Wish they had a greese fitting on the slide. I helped mine by adding another spring to increase spring pull.
