Hey Old you rascal, As Im sure youre already aware, we just cant answer that question exactly UNLESS we knew the current draw the charger requires and the amps rating of the charger. HOWEVER, we can take a decent educated best guess, so heres mine FWIW. UNLESS the "small charger" you have in mind is extremelyyyyy yyy small like one of those 1/2 amp battery tenders for winter storage use, and knowing those 6 volt chargers (especially the newer electronic type versus the old technology buzzers) require very low current, ITS MY BEST GUESS YESSSSS any decent size charger (Im thinkin one of those small 4 amp or so types) will power the fence charger fine UNLESS ITS A CHARGER OLDER THAN US LOL..... .. I would hook her up n observe how many amps the charger is putting out and just try her n see. I bet the charger wont be running at much over a few amps or even less then an amp depending on if its a newer solid state or an old buzzer. ANSWER hook her up n see and unless the charger pegs at max charge (which I doubt but depends on it and the fence unit) youre good to go. Maybe have the wifey hold the fence wire output lead????? ????? ?? John T
