I agree that politicss and other nasty stuff shouldnt be on here, but I am surprised and kinda bothered that a post asking if/how they display their pride for their country on their farm is offensive. It wasnt political, we take pride in our farms, which has to do with tractors, and farming is an American tradition and what the flag stands for was the back bone for farming and tractors to become as loved as they are. What the heck? Unless I missed something I do not see what was wrong. If some one lives in another country and are proud of that country, well then they could just post how they display their flags. Can some one fill me in if they seen what was so offensive. I felt darned good after I posted it and read the first 4 replies. Now would it have been removed had I asked who all displays the flags of their "tractor" brand they are proud of?

Now Dave you know its not nice to put up an American flag on your farm. If everyone shows their flag then they would have to shut down the whole system so here is mine.

I didn"t get to see your post, but can"t imagine anything wrong with it. I checked the American Legion site, thinking I had printed out display rules there once- but nothing. However, google "proper display of US flag", for official regs. I"ve never seen our Flag disrespected in a farm display, or any small town. Cities..... ...?

Kim replied to this same post on site comments. My original post was removed not for anything I had said, or any other respectable post, but apparently we had some real distasteful replies. Why some one would want to mess up a respectable discussion on the very symbol that gives us the freedom and pride we have is beyond me. Maybe these trouble makers need to go live in a country with out freedoms for a while. Again, it was NOT removed because of the "American Flag" topic.
