Well say Howie, why dont we get rid of all of our farmalls and that would make yours worth a fortune? It aint the namm money thats innim thats important. Only rich people should be having them anyway. Us po folks who scrimped and saved to b the first make of tractor we started on with, or to those uf us like me to inherant one generally, (I hope) do it either to have a piece of our grandads, or dads tractor that we can touch. Touch somthing that they touched. I would own mine if they wernt worth a dime and it cost me plenty to keep them pointing down the furrw (which it has)_ The neatness of seeing people who are amazed that somthing made in the 30s is still working gives me dividends no bank will pay on my money. And for those who grew up and opened up thousands of furrows with these tractors or those like them , is priceless. To here their stories, see the looks, of fondness, knowing, and rememberance, cant be valued. When the last good enugh tractor is restored with parts from one thats past restoring, then, what happens to the new generations comming up who want to own and maby work one of these antiques before there past 60 and able to afford to do so. Your going to hold onto yours (unless the price is right), Im holding onto mine< (unless I get more), and I imagine all the rest of us are ging to keep on having the same amount of tractors we now have or more. So whats that leave the kids? Just a wooden nickles worth

Today's Featured Article - An AC Model M Crawler - by Anthony West. Neil Atkins is a man in his late thirties, a mild and patient character who talks fondly of his farming heritage. He farms around a hundred and fifty acres of arable land, in a village called Southam, located just outside Leamington Spa in Warwickshire. The soil is a rich dark brown and is well looked after. unlike some areas in the midlands it is also fairly flat, broken only by hedgerows and the occasional valley and brook. A copse of wildbreaking silver birch and oak trees surround the top si ... [Read Article]
