That's excactly what a dealer would do. I am sure there is someone on the site looking for one. I don't know how much it adds to the value though, I am sure it adds some. There was a 1456 that sold near me that had been a gold demonstrator. There was gold underneath the hoods, gold under the red paint, and the steering column was painted correctly. It had 9000 hours, with an overhaul and brought $5600. It was a straight tractor. The gold never added anything to the value of that tractor, but truth be told it may have if it would have been advertised as one. Another neighbor sold his plain jane 1456 in the Des Moines Register. It had 3800 hours, clean as a pin, he asked $10,500. The first guy that called bought it, and his phone rang a ton of times after that. All depends I guess.
