Dion: First, are you sure there is no other positioning for the gauge wheels? My mower is a 59, and I know I could set tractor wheels in any position and there would not be a problem. Could you have the mounting for mower and belt routing wrong? Could you have the wrong belt for your tractor? On an offset Farmall mower can either be driven directly from pto or from a V pulley mounted on belt pulley shaft. I suspect those two options use different belts. The front axle tubes could be stuck very solid. I have had to completely remove the front axle, remove wheels and tires from it. With the use of two acetylene torches, heat the center tube until red hot, and yes still had to use come alongs. I thought for sure this would destroy strength of center tube. That was 15 years ago and its still on tractor. The rust inside that one was actually a layer. When you have it apart clean the tubes, inner and outer, then apply paint or spray type graphite. Do not use grease. I still believe that mower will work without changing front wheel setting of tractor. That 306A by Woods with proper kit for mounting on the Farmall 140, will fit and work, regardless of wheel setting front or rear. You have something not right, either mounting kit or wrong belt.

Originally the company was called the Cleveland Motor Plow Company which began in 1912, then the Cleveland Tractor Company (1917) and finally Cletrac.
