If you have a tach/dwell meter, use it as a tach and measure the RPM drop on each cyl. as you pull the plug wires off (one at a time). If the RPM drop is uniform on all the Cylinders, (or not much different as it can be variable) then it may be fuel related. could there be H2O in the fuel? Anothe diagnostic tactic might be to see if the distributor shaft/bushing assembly is wornout. With the rotor off, look closely at the shaft when trying to move it (not in out, but up, down, toward engine and away. If you can detect motion here at all by feel it is too much. The point timing will be so bad that it will run terribly. A rebushing of the housing can be done at a good machine shop, with a bushing longer than stock so it rides on new shaft about 1/2" farther inside the housing (not toward the points). Good luck, JimN
