The transmission and differential use the same reservior and the owners manual states SAE 90 weight is the oil used when they left the factory. Six gallons or 24 quarts is the correct quantity. I use the same oil in my H. The hydraulics or belly pump is suppose to use SAE 30 NON-Detergent engine oil. It holds about six quarts per the manual. The dip stick inside the cap is often not with the tractor so you may need to fabricate one and mark the 6 quart line. You should make every effort to obtain you an Owner's Manual ASAP as there are all kinds of areas which need lubrication you won't find otherwise. The manual is a storehouse of valuable information and are very inexpensive considering the repairs necessary if something is missed. Hope this helps and hope you enjoy your H as it has always been a very popular tractor, Hal.
