Sometimes they are marked but not always i remember that the # on the rod goes on the same side as the cam. How high is the dome if its one of the newer type they have a pretty high dome and that will cause a problem starting if you are using a mag. You need a dist so you can set the advance. There was a directive from I-H stating a dist was needed. I ran into that once. Couldnt get it to start with the mag then put a dist on and presto. My old I-H mech told me he remembered that directive.This was on an A with B front and new Woods6ft belley mower. Hmowed around 6A so we wanted power ect. Moved left wheel out with two wts. He mowed the dam on the pond said he should have had that setup yrs ago.
