Uhhh - basically I like your idea, except for the pond and the waterfall. And there's just one tiny little detail I left out of this strictly theoretical situation. Imagine a tractor with one rear wheel about two feet off the ground -- kept from rolling over by pressing hard against a tree trunk. And to complete the picture, a tractor mostly covered with a tangle of poison oak, blackberry, and grapevines. Imagine the reaction of the college students who dig that sucker up in about a 100 years, trying to figure out why in the heck that drunk farmer was driving down the creek below the waterfall.
