Uhhh - basically I like your idea, except for the pond and the waterfall. And there's just one tiny little detail I left out of this strictly theoretical situation. Imagine a tractor with one rear wheel about two feet off the ground -- kept from rolling over by pressing hard against a tree trunk. And to complete the picture, a tractor mostly covered with a tangle of poison oak, blackberry, and grapevines. Drain the pond, divert the waterfall, cut down the tree, spray the blackberries, poison oak, etc, then send your brother-in-law in to fetch it.
