John, The rear end is the hydraulic resivoir. Use only IH Hi-Tran fluid. If I remember correctly, there are three plugs on the rear of the tractor, all at about the same level. One is in each drop housing and one is in the center or near the center of the rear end on the back below the PTO. Fill untill the fluid is at the level of the center plug. Don't worry about the plugs in the drop housings as there are passage holes and the fluid will slowly get into these housings and level off. Harold H
