Cleaning Old Carbs.

I would like to hear anyones ideas on the best way to clean gum and varnish off of an old carb.
This one has sat for about 30 years and is coated inside and out. I would like to hear anyone else's methods for getting them clean.
I would like to soak it in something to get the inside really clean.
