Green Magazine says a two cylynder JDwill have a quiter transmission if you use GL-4 rather then GL-5. That makes no sense so I e-mailed a Lube engineer at Mobil headquarters. He said he wouldn't even use GL-4 nor GL-5. He recommended 50 weight engine oil or a Mobil product called DTE extra-heavy. What do all you boys say. There is an automobile restorer in Wisconsin that doesn't like to use modern gear lube in old cars either so mabe there is something to it. By the way where the heck would you get GL-4 anyway. The boys at Green Magazine just say it might be hard to get.
