In addition to quality gaskets (get from JD), it is important to have good gasket sealer. I talked to a gentleman from Defiance, Missouri who is in the tractor restoration business. He recommended that I use silicone rubber caulk which can be purchased at any hardware store or lumber yard. Run a 1/16" bead of the caulk below and above the top tank and bottom tank gaskets and install. I plan to do this with the 1950 model B which I am restoring.
