Tractors, What kind of diesel to use?

Just bought a new diesel tractor in January, 98. What
kind of diesel fuel is to be used? Someone told me to
use additive, but don't know what kind of additive.
I am using off road dyed diesel fuel in it, for now.
Your comments would be greatly appreciated.
