: Require info on hydrolics , Brakes & Lubrication Specs
I overhauled a B414 a year ago. I'm not heavy on
the hydraulics, but got intimate with the brakes
and differential. I bought a new set of brake
discs, then drilled a second set of holes in the
links that operate the brakes to effectively
shorten them. Worked great. On the lubrication
recommendation, IH told me to use hy-tran in
everything except the motor, but I have doubts.
If I were doing it again, I'd probably go to a
good quality gear lube in the transmission/differential
(they share fluid) and hy-tran or other good
quality hydraulic fluid in the hydraulics. I use
Delo 400 15/40 in all my motors, but it's not recommended
for old tractors. That's just my personal preference.

E-mail me direct if you'd like.
