I believe the 30 has bigger valves and a bigger bore...25 hp for the 20 and 30 for the 30. Someone might correct me on that. The light popping in the exhaust might be a little fast in engine timing. If it has been converted to 12 volt, set the gap on the plugs to at least .030 and it will help with that. I know that sounds like balderdash but my 80 year old uncle told me that and I went home and tried it on mine and there was a marked inprovement. He's done a bunch of conversions and rebuilds alternators he gets out of the junk yard for a few bucks, and pretty much knows his stuff. Welcome the the Fergy guys, by the way. There's some very knowledgeable fellers on here more than happy to help. You might also check in the archives for anything you can think of on Fergys cuz I think its been discussed on here at least once!!! LOL
