WHITE 2-70 hydraulics

I have a WHITE 2-70; the three point hydraulics work more or less OK, but I notice that as everything warms up the RPM must be increased to lift the same load (3 x 16" plow) that would lift at less then 1000 rpm when cold.
Also, when actually plowing, the response to adjustments is better when cold. When fully warmed up, it requires over 1700 rpm to respond properly; at less than that the plow will actually sink deeper when the lever is raised slightly and there seems to be an increased load on the engine until I increase the rpm to the point where the plow responds . I am using the White type 55 oil.
Where is the excessive wear that has to be corrected, or is this normal and I should just operate a high rpm. Could I use a heavier or different oil? Thanks for any ideas. Please answer here.
