JD 4010 Hydraulic Pump on Front PTO

I have a 1962 JD 4010 Diesel, with a front (or more like mid mount) PTO. Does anyone know if you can install a pump on the front pto ? The PTO shaft is located close to the underside of the body and looks to be too tight to slide a pump on. Is there a pump made which will fit and still provide a sufficient pressure and flow to power a loader ?
