Theres a snowplow for sale that was off a 800 series tractor. I was wondering if it would fit on my 62 4000? It is a hydrolic system, but the plow is disassembled and seems to have all the parts. The guy is askin $500.00 for it and it seems fair considering what they want for used fisher plows fr trucks. any ideas? thankz

John,

A '62 4000 is still a 4 cylinder machine - almost identical to the 800/801. I took this blade from an 801 and adapted it to a 3 cyl. 4000SU. Only had to make a bracket to hang the front from the tractor. Didn't modify the blade or frame at all. I am confident the blade you mention should be quite easy to put on your 4000.

John, the plow in the picture I have had on my 1964 2000 Ford, (that's why it is blue) so the one you are looking at should fit okay. Remember, You need a remote hydraulic valve to operate it. Dan Robertson

Thanks Dan I do have a hydrolic pump hooked up off the front crank for my hydrolic sikle bar and the reservoir is in the front. Im also wonderin if theres enough room for it, since they removed the fron bumper to mount the pump. I'll have to take a digi pic to show what i mean this weekend. I do have a pic of it posted in the gallery but there not good pics. THanks Dan
