I'd hazard a guess that you have an M&W add on turbo. It's certainly not an OEM setup. The 5000 was never turbocharged.
What's it make?.... That's a loaded question. How much does it smoke? A whisper? A good blow, or does it look like a Mack on it's last revolution?
It could realistically make anywhere from the stock 60 HP all the way up to probably 115 HP depending on how wild they went on the pump. A number often kicked around on here regarding the M&W kits was about 90 on the PTO... That's probably about the point where harm would start on that engine, and perhaps a bit beyond that point on a 233... The later 268's were good for probably 100-105 without much harm, and the 256 somewhere in between.

Its an aftermarket M&W setup.Increased of about 10-15% in power.Good proven setup.Does have a pyrometer installed? If not you need one.

No, a turbo would not be stock on the 5000. Notice the extra M&W oil filter?

The 5000 was not turbocharged originally. Yours could be either a newer turbocharged engine (from a 7000,7600 etc.)or an aftermarket turbo and manifold. Originally the first 5000 diesels with 233 ci engine were about 55 pto hp.Hard to guess at your tractors hp without knowing more details.

yep.. its an m&w turbo... i still have some filters left in the shop for them... figure about 20% hp increase.. but also figure faster ring wear... turbo tractors are shipped with high crome top rings to handle the high temps.. non turbo tractors did no.. so the ring wear is a bit higher.. these were really popular where a aftermarket cab and a/c were added along with the turbo..its a rayco turbo on a m&w manifold... iirc.... sweet....
