I will be adding headlights a work light and a tail light, I will be using a 6v positive ground system. The light switch has 2 lugs to attach wires, I assume a negetive wire goes to one lug in on the switch and then 2 wires come out on the other lug 1 to the left head light and then splits to the right headlight, then wire 2 goes to the tail light and then splits to go to the work light that is switched internaly.

Does this make since.

In theroy this should work I think?? since this is a positive ground system????? Am I wrong?????

Anyone have diagrams or know if any one makes a harness for this application ready made. I have bought a new wiring harness for the engine and looks like light circuts are not included.

Wiring harness does not include light wiring. Hook the lights up in parallel (as opposed to series) - light switch to same side of all - ground to other side of all - otherwise the last 2 won't give out much light, due to the resistance of the ones upstream.

Weather its + ground or- ground it doesn't matter. Either type of ground is wired the same for lights, starter, and a few other things. The only place it matters is the coil and weather is has an alternator . Most genny can/do work either way also. There are a few gennys that don't but for what your doing it doesn't matter.
