 |  18:48 12/16/12 Starting Restoration work| This is a International Harvester skid steer loader, model 3200 A, hydrostatic drive, powered by a Wisconsin engine V4 Air cooled model VH4D. We think that this was made in 1970 or 1971. Price we paid for it was a 12 pack of beer. This skid steer loader was taken apart and then set to a side after that never been touch.Our Goal is to restore it and bring it to tractor shows. We had got two buckets with the deal and we plan to restore one for showing it with. Then the other one will be when we put it to work around the house. This month we have taken the engine apart and are getting it ready to take to machine shop for cleaning and serviceing. | | |

We do not have a way to put them on the internet except by a web camera that is on the computer. This is the start of the skid steer loader. | 08:27 12/18/12 picture 4| This picture is matching up paint to the old paint on the skid steer loader. We take a part that is in the machine that is not faded out clean it and start matching colors. We found out that the John Deere consturction yellow (TY25679 in the spray can)is the best color that matches up and is easy to get to paint this project with. WE have also notice that the wireing Harness is in good shape so we do not have to rewire this tractor that is a plus. | | |

| 08:35 12/20/12 Engine tear down and inspection| WE will put a note iin to the engine findings that the enngine was running to hot. So hot that it was burning a hole threw the piston and also starting to scare the piston. See for your self on this picture. | | |

| 08:52 12/20/12 engine tear down and inspection| Please note the next picture I am putting up is the govenor. As I see it did not get enought oil to keep it. What happen could it be the oil pump was failing or could it be the engine was running to hot? This is where changeing your oil helps keep the engine. | | |

| 09:04 12/20/12 Pumps and hoses| Clean and inspecting the main pumps and hydric lines. This I find is work because there is alot of dirt that is mixed up with Hydric oil. I finally got a picture to add to this log of the skid steer Hydric upper pumps and hoses. These pumps are driven by to rubber belts that connet to the engine plus the third one which is in the bottom is taken directly stright from the engine. | | |

| 07:22 12/21/12 Cleaning skid steer loader| Removeing the plat foarm where the pedals are you will see the control valve unit for the boom and the bucket. These hook up to the pedals and are at the bottom of the plat form where you seat. | | |

| 19:48 12/28/12 Cleaning Wisconsin engine| WE had notice that the Wisconsin engine V-4 had a up grade to it. These skid steer loader wisconsin engine where designed with aluminum heads which made them cool the heat quicker. I wounder if this was a up grade that some body thought it would be better. We do not know yet if they where better for the long running time of the engine. One note that the wisconsin engine v-4 made in the 1950's had cast iron heads. | | |

| 20:38 01/19/13 Location of Data tags| On the skid steer loaders like this one the Location of the I D data tag is located on the left side of the loader back brace footing. That is standing from the back looking at the loader. You will mote the International Harvester name on the data plate. | | |

| 20:51 01/19/13 Takeing pictures of decales| Takeing Pictures of decales that might be hard to find after a restoraion. This helps you to be able to make new ones after the tractor has been sanded down and repainted. It might be a big help to use some traceing papper to draw out lettering so you can reproduce the lettering on the tractor right.When restoeing Industrail equpment you might find any lettering decales for that machine. | | |

| 21:00 01/19/13 Cleaning up and painting| When cleaning up a skid steer loader it is best to jack it up and use safty stands. This will help you clean the base up. Then wire wheel the spots that are needed and sand then paint. Make sure that the color you paint matches close to the factory color. | | |

| 10:14 01/23/13 No subject given On this skid steer loader we had found some blots that where broken off.
so what we did was cut the broken ends off and use a threader on the one s that are welded in. The other ones we drilled and use an easy out plus ran a tap threw them to make sure the threads where not messed up. Boken bolts and missing bolts are command to find on equipment that are rented out. Most renters for the equipment do not care about the machines they run. This way when buying some thing like this from a rental yard you expect to find this stuff. | | |

| 10:23 01/23/13 Saveing decales| Saveing your decales if you must is a good pratice. If you are painting around decales or ID vin tage you can always use painters masking tape. This will not harm the decales on the tractor. Let the paint dry and then ppull off the painters masking tape but do it care fully. If it is done right you will end up with it looking like this | | |
