hey guys. I just got new front rims and tires for my b. Now I just need to paint them. My question is, are they all orange or orange and silver on a 1952 or 53 b? thanks.

All B and C tractors built had orange front rims. the back could be orange if early model. later were all galvanized. (now painted aluminum). when the D series came out just befor 1960, the front rims were changed to cream color with the galvanized rear. front rims were never galvanized or silver on an Allis.

Front wheels should be all orange for a 52. Looks better with silver rims and orange centers though.

99% of the time I have seen them solid orange on the front.

Don"t know which color is proper, however last fall when I put new rims on front& rear of my 52 B, I painted the centers orange, and the rima chrome silver. Hope the Resto cops dont get me" I like them that way, and I do own the tractor. I doubt that it makes any difference, whatever you like. I have looked at quite a few restored ACs, and both ways are used. Have fun and enjoy.
