I've had my best sucess with sandblast to clean that scaly burnt iron. Haven't tried elecrolisis yet, but eager to.
Get real nice results using "VHT" paint spray cans, cured to can directions. It's a ceramic based high temp coating for exausts and headers.
It comes in lots of colors and is available from JEGS and SUMMIT high performance stores. About 1 $8 can will do most manifolds.

Hey Matt Are you familiar with the process of electrolysis for removing rust, paint and other crud from iron or steel objects ? I like this so much because it is a lazy mans dream come true. Your battery charger does all of the work. Email me or call me at 636 456 3935. Harry Case, Allis, Moline nut
