The WD 45 oil pump is a larger copacity/volume oil pump. The WD 45 oil pump has the same diameter "gears" as the WD oil pump, but the WDd 45 oil pump "gears" are longer. The outside casting of the two oil pumps is similar but not exact. The area next to the oil line connection fitting is different. This area on the WD oil pump has a step or notch in it. On the WD 45 oil pump this area is straight. They should interchange and operate, but why would you want to put a lower volume/capacity oil pump in your WD 45 engine? A WD 45 oil pump in a WD engine is a good choice. Hope this helps.

I've put a wd camshaft in a wd-45 engine, so I guess the gears are the same. the pump mounting is the same. My guess is that it will fit. HTH
