I have about completed the restoration on my 1950 Model B into a nice, using tractor, so I am starting to search around for another project.

I am facinated by the D-10 that, I believe, succeeded the Model B in the late 50's. I think that it was the one-row version of the Model 12. I never see any of these for sale. Are they that rare or were they that unpopular?

What are some of the specs - Years of production, net weight, engine and PTO hp, availability of repair parts?

Thanks for any help.

I searched all over central and south georgia before I found a D-10. They seem to be a rare breed. Finally in late summer I found one Near Swainsboro GA, NW of Savannah. It is in good shape and I used it a few times to cut grass.Itis now stripped down for paint and clean up. The carb leaks bad and is so covered with sludge and crud,it is hard to recognize it even is a carb.I am in search of a new or rebuild. Some parts found at CT Farm.Would appreciate any info. Thanks

I just bought a D-10 last weekend for pretty much the same reasons. I just always thought they were neat. I knew the owner and told him to keep me in mind if he ever sold it. Paid $1800 for it. Needs a grill and a valve job, otherwise very good shape. Good information at Unofficial Allis site. I agree with D-14, these are neat tractors that are very useable on a small farm or as a hobby tractor. Engine parts seen easy to get, sheet metal is probably a different story. My Agro dealer in Clymer, New York seems to have a hardworking and interested parts man. If you get a D-10, keep in touch. I will share any information with you. If you happen to hear of a grill or front weights keep me in mind.

The D10 is rare compared to a WD or a B. The early ones had 138ci engines and a few years into production they went to a 33hp 149ci engine similar to the D14's. The manifold and carb were smaller on the D10 & D12. Sometime during 1961 live pto and live hydraulics were added. Early models had a snap coupler, later models had the 3pt option. The D10 & D12 are great little tractors for a hobby farm or collector. They have very good weight distribution and alot of hp for their size. They weighed about 2700 lbs bare. Before you pursue one of these rare creatures I would strongly suggest reading Norm Swinford's book on AC's. Good luck!
