We need to mow our lawn like I already have told yall and we are looking more towards a rear finishing mower. We want to get a 3-point for the A-C anyways so has anyone ever used one on the tractor. Do you have a pref. on what one to get, etc. How much $$$ are we talking about? We have looked at the Worksaver and thought that it looked heavy built and had cyl. and hoses incl. Thanks! RC

RC,

I have just put a Worksaver 3-pt hitch on my 1950 Model B. It is a little more expensive than the other hitches, I suppose, but I didn't have to grind or modify anything to get it to fit. It is excellent quality and works very well with all of the implements that I have hooked to it. The installation/owners manual is very detailed and informative.

I think that mine was about $525.00 including shipping through my local AGCO dealer. The other hitches may be just as good, but the Worksaver is nicely proportioned to the size of the Model B and comes with everything to hook it up and start working. For your finish mower, just be sure to use an overrunning clutch on your PTO.

Good Luck.

Worksaver is nice, but expensive. There are several sources for aftermarket 3pts. There is a guy who advertises in the YT classifieds and ATIS classifieds a ton. His are real good and they are about $300-$350. I can't remember how much I paid. It works great, and installs real easy. I had to do a little grinding on one part, but that's it. I think the worksaver is $500? right? You might want to look for this guy under a search for 3pt hitches his name is Don VanEaton. The other guy I know has them is Roger VanCamp 219 747 3455. They both sell the same hitch so ordering form one is as good as ordering from the other. Leave it ring several times because he's outside working most of the time. He's a great guy and a straight shooter. I've been to his place and ordered from him via the phone. He allways delivers the goods.
