Allis-Chalmers IB with B serial number

I just bought and Allis-Chalmers IB in good original shape. The serial number on the tractor is B31191. According to Norm Swingford's book A guile to Allis-Chalmers Farm Tractors there was 260 IB tractors buit with B serial numbers from 1939-1941. The 31191 checks out to be a '39. The tractor does not have electic start. It also has hand brakes insted of foot brakes. I have seen several IB's in the 1946-1954 vintage. If any one has any information on the early IB's I would greatly appreciate it. Does anyone know of any IB's that are older or how many were made before this one?
