Purchased #409 1934 WC from Steamthreshers reunion at Rolog` Minnesota, Summer of 99. For my dad Russell W. Turner, Maple Valley, Washington. Delivered tractor Nov.99. Dad plans to show at Lynden, Washington this year,as well as other shows. This is almost exactly the same tractor dad grew up with in Argusville, and Amenia, North Dakota. Last known to have come from older Gentalman in Lake Park, Minnesota, about 1985.Has cast iron pan, runs and drives great, tin could be improved. Engine has 45 stamp on it, probably replaced then for whatever reason. Looking forward to your responces. Just chat, mostly but we are enjoying and hope you are too.

Got to thinking about that engine. The 45 is a Removable plate about one inch long, with two screws holding it to motor. Might have been rebuilt at dealer in 45. is located on left side of motor in front of carb, half way up to head. The slanted manifold and cast pan make me think it might be origonal. There are several casting #`s on the motor and head. Does` anybody know specifics about this tractor. Anybody know of an older model? I heard there is one of the origonal 25 made in 33 in existance any others befor #409.

The WC engine serial number is located on a small flat on the rear of the engine above the clutch housing. The Wc engine also had a plate covering the lifters.

Those die hard AC boys are going to shake their heads at a non correct engine in the thing. At least the block anyway. I've been to a few AC shows and have yet to see a serial number correct WC. Be nice to see one for a change.
