Looking at a used 200 with a cab. The owner tells me the clutch slips under high load. What am I looking at to rebuild? I presume I would have to pull the cab and split the tractor. It has the Factory cab on it. Thanks for any information

Dave are you sure it's the foot clutch and not the hand clutch. You better check before tearing into it. one way to tell is turn on the pto and have some one watch it put it in 3rd or 4th get it going and lock on the brakes when the tractor stops and the pto is turning yet the hand clutch is slipping. try this in high and low.

Gary, thanks for the information. I was over at the AC dealer today for a combine part and ask the shop boss what I was getting in to. He also mentioned the posibility of the hand clutch slipping. He said the way they check it is with a Dyno. If they can stop the pto it is the foot clutch, if not, it is the hand clutch. If I understood him right, the hand clutch is the worse of the two. He says, for them to do it I would be looking at about $1000 for the foot clutch and $1500 for the hand clutch. Kind of think I will try your test and if it seems to be the hand clutch, I will pass on the tractor. I think I can do the foot clutch myself but it sounds like the hand clutch may be beyond my skills. Once again, thanks a lot, you have been a big help!

This can be split with out removeing the cab. If your not going to use it for loader work replace it with the button clutch disk and it will give thousands of hours of service, Provied you dont abuse it.Email me if you need more info
