Were these tractors painted any other color than orange, or were some yellow?

We had a D-15 that we bought new in 1961. It had been ordered by a county highway department and not taken. It was yellow from the factory, but it had none of the industrial tractor features like non-adjustable front axle, or shuttle, it was pure farm tractor painted yellow. The dealer painted it orange as part of the deal for dad to buy it.

Ray,
I have a 62 D15 industrial model, and it is yellow from the factory.
The other differences are the loader backhoe is of Henry design taken over by AC (Model TS 500 loader & Mark IV backhoe). Tractor differences are:Quick disconnect backhoe exposing ball type 3 pt. hitch, Shuttle clutch (Forward-reverse) as opposed to Power director,Welded non adjustable wide front end, industrial tires rear 14.9-24, 5.60 16 multi rib front tires, high volume front mounted Cessna hydraulic pump. The only flaw of design in this machine are the front spindles, when the bucket is full 5/8 yard (standard) it must be transported at low elevation over rough terrain. Since the loader will lift a tremendous amount of weight, (too much for the front end)so one must be careful. Other than that I wouldn't trade it for anything. (Must be so, cause I bought it new).Kevin C

Sir,

I just purchased for $120 an old (belive it to be a 1962 D15) with the TS-500 loader and Mark IV back hoe from an old timer. Its been sitting out for many years but it runs pretty good and the loader works. The back hoe I cant get to do anything. Can you provide me with some info on this tractor? (manuals, tropubleshooting the backhoe, etc...) thank you
