Probably stuck valve. Also chek your plug wires to make sure one isnt firing off cycle. Firing order should be 1-2-4-3 clockwise

Jim, your "B" is a 1938. Numbers for 1938 were 101 thru 11800. Enjoy, they're a great little machine!

Steve: Thank you for the followup reply. Its amazing that that model B was manufactured in 1937/38. It still runs good and has original rubber and has been shedded. The guy wants to sell it for $1000.00. In your opinion should I buy it? Jim

if I was you i would pass. give him my number instead. i will be gald to take it off your hands.
--really that is a good price. Most of the early models had no hydraulics and are hand crank, but i still like um. go ahead, you cant go wrong, they are great tractors.
