Positave ground to negative on D19D

Ihave installed a one wire alt. on D19D that had a posative grnd gen. The new alt is a neg grnd. Is all that needs changed is the battery to neg grnd?

thats all you do on a gas tractor. since the diesel is mechanical injection, i would think it would require no changes. you know the single wire alternators are made for high- constant speed engines. You may have to keep it reved up to get charge, just keep that in mind if it has no output at idle. some guys put a smaller pulley on the alternator to get it to run faster, if you think your charging at too high a rmp.
