After about 10 min. at idle it just shuts down, I need some Ideas on what is going on, battery will not charge either????? ? help

As far as the shutdown goes, you might also have a bad coil or condenser. If the coil is bad, the heat from the engine will cause the windings in the coil to open; the engine will miss or die as a result. Both are pretty inexpensive replacement parts. HTH

when it shuts down, check to see if you have spark by pulling plug and touching it to ground. Yhrn pull the plug at bottom of carburetor bowl, do you have fuel?? need to narrow it down to one or the other. on the charging, the A terminal of the generator goes to the relay and back to the ampmeter. the G terminal goes to the light switch and then ground. take the G terminal and ground it and see if you get charge, if not push the contacts together on the cut out relay, if neither works the generator is bad.

When my B does that I know it's time to clean the oil bath air cleaner. Take the air cleaner off and wash the screen inside.
