I have an AC WD45D with a 3 pt hitch attachment. The unit has a "bottom" hitch point for what is typically a top hitch point. The issue is: For a bush hog mower that is 3 pt hitch with a PTO drive, the PTO shaft is in the way of the bottom connection. Is there a conversion kit available that will allow me to use my existing hitch with a typical 3pt hitch PTO type mower?

I have a Woods Dixie Cutter with a factory snap couple arrangement on it. Two pins on the sides of the 3 point frame near the top and a tongue which goes into the bell underneath.

I made a sleeve with two plates with category 1 hitch pin holes in them to go around the torque tube that the lift arms are fastened to. I use the top link in this adapter for my heavier implements. You can then remove the original cross bar that the top link connected to. For some of my lighter implements I use 4 adjustable linkages from the farm stores placed together into 2 pairs. I placed the long slotted ends together using carriage bolts. I put the hole end of each linkage assembly in the implements top link position and bolted the lower end of the linkages assemblies to the sides of the 3 point hitch adapter unit. It makes an A frame type of mount. You then remove the original cross bar on the 3 point adapter so that you can raise the mower without hitting the pto shaft.
