Hello to all. My brother is looking at a new Kubota (at least it orange!) and the Kubota dealer is offering him $1500 trade in on his AC 160 diesel with front end loader, in average condition with about 3200 hours and about 200 hours since overhaul. the serial # on the 160 is 0143721. I told him I would check on the NET and see if I could get any feedback on a realistic price for his 160. He does not even know the year or much about it and I said I would ask you folks. I would appreciate your help on this please.

Bruce

Will the dealer give him a kiss first?

An Allis Chalmers 160 with a loader is worth a lot more than $1500 as a trade in.

From what I've seen in Wisconsin, a tractor in that condition is worth $5-8000.I agree with the other gentleman-the dealer is getting a heck of a good deal!

Bruce,
That seems like a good deal for the dealer! If the A-C is in good shape you should be able to get more than that for it.

Heyman if he wont`t$1500 us dollars for it,I come and give him 2,000 us cash.In ky you are looking at $4800 to 6500.You make more saleing it than trading it in.I have owned tractors, From CA,WD,D15 ser,II,D17,D19,to this day the one me and my dad own is a 7000 allis,So don`t give it away someone would kill for a deal like that. Just my two sent worth.
