My Step-Father gave me (we believe) a 1939 Model-B AC. It has a hand crank, he believed after the war (WWII) they had electric start. Anyway, I am looking to find attachments. It has a woods belly mower and cuts great, I was just wondering what other kind of attachments were available. Can anyone ID this tractor by the serial number? It is B23046. Thanks Harry

Harry, They had many atachments, some were used for special farming. They made a bar mower (under mounted), buzz saw, cultivators, plow, planter for corn, peas, beans, planter for grains, one bottom plow, and two way two bottom, and on one ocation they even made a one row corn picker. The picker was a prototype. It looks real cool but we may never see it only in pictures. I have a two row onion and garlic planter that wasn't made for this tractor but fit on with just a little fussing. It looks like it was made for the Allis B. Most things that go with this tractor are underslung. They go on rather difacult but look real nice when there on. Look in a good swap sheet or something like that for some one looking to sell, that's where you will find good stuff. Remember if you go to the allis parts dealer you will pay alot for say a plow share. You'll spend around 45.00 to 60.00 for it but in the good want ad's you could get the whole plow complete for 75.00. Your best bet would be to get into a good all tractor club or a allis club in your neighborhood that you could swap or get from other members. That's how I got my cultivators for nothing. I hope I have given you some help on equipment. Good luck. ED

Thanks Ed,

I live in Central Illinois, it shouldn't be hard to find a club. I go to the old threshers reunion in Iowa evry couple of years, I'll have to make it a point to go to more of them more often. Thanks again. Harry
