What is the difference in horsepower of the 180 and 185? What is the best loader to put on a 185? Why does the pto continuously stay in motion? If there is a simple solution please let me know because we have to cut the tractor off to hook up the bushog or disc mower.

Thanks for the help.

The pto could only stay in motion because of the linkage that engages it. The pto shaft comes from the back of the tractor to the trque housing and butts against the constantly turning shaft from the clutch housing. A collar operated by the pto lever on the dash slides from the constant shaft over the pto shaft when you engage it. The pto shaft is beveled to facilitate this action. You should buy or borrow a shop manual and you can very likely fix this problem with a simple adjustment.

Jerry, for safety sake we always shut down when removing or working on the pto. I would not recommend otherwise,

Thanks for the reply. I guess it always seems we are trying to find ways to do things faster. If we could start at 5:30 and end at 7:30 and make a solid living in Farming it would be a lot easier. Instead we go from 7:00 to 11:30 at eight miles an hour and rent every piece of property we can get our hands on.
