Without attachments or electrics, how much does a 1942 AC B series tractor weigh for trailering?

According to "The Field Guide To Vintage Farm Tractors" by Robert N Pripps the AC B weighs 1900 lbs. My 49 B weighs more, but I've got 3 pt & calcium in the tires.

For what it's worth, my 1939 B owners manual says the tractor weighs 2160# with oil, gas and water, and Hydromatic (full of ballast) tires. This one had no electric.

Jeff,
If you have a standerd 16 foot trailer it probably has two 3500 pound axles under it. Look and determine the tire size and carry capacity( its on the tire).
15 inch tires generally have 3500 pound capacity per axle and 16 inch tires have 5000 pound capacity per axle. Rule of thumb but not written in stone.
A model B should weigh less than 2000 pounds for sure so you should be ok, even with a 1/2 ton pickup.
I pull mine on a 18 foot trailer with two 5000 pound axles and a 3/4 ton pickup and dont even know its there.
Just remember to take it slow and leave plenty of room for stopping.
Also, glue it down tight with chains and binders(come-a-longs dont count)or straps with ratchets. Front of the tractor pulling forward and rear of the tractor pulling backwards. In other words pulling against each other.
I hope this helps,
Be safe!

I weigh 180 lbs. and pull two of my B's in the 2000 lb class and the tractor has to be weighed at each pull. Some times before and after each pull. That means that with me on the tractor it has to weigh 2000 lbs. or less or you can not pull in that class and they have starters on them.

About 1800 pounds rings a bell for some reason. We hauled one home on a 16 ft trailer behind a 1/2 ton full size pickup with no problems.
